The BDA’s newest members will be the focal point of the neu im club series at the DAZ Glashaus, which will run parallel to the presentation of new offices in the BDA magazine der architekt.
Like many young architecture offices, fehlig moshfeghi architekten is faced with the question of whether or not a competition can be more than just a formal aesthetic exercise, whether it can be a way of exploring other standards and construction projects between the daily tasks of architectural practice. Competitions no longer serve to found an architectural office. So what, then, is the basis for economic viability today?
On 11 January, Mehdi Moshfeghi and Niels Fehlig will talk with David Kasparek (editor of der architekt) about the work of their Hamburg office and about “material” as constitutive of architecture. In conversation with Andreas Denk (editor-in-chief of der architekt), the two young architects will also discuss the themes of the current issue of the magazine, followed by discussion over drinks.
Selected projects will be displayed on the façade of the Glashaus until March 4th, 2018.
